Fan-fic: Adventures in Zevida!

Well, this is simply me writing a fan-fic about the series that me and LuckE are going to write together.
I might not write the first chapter just yet, but I will soon.
Basically the plot revolves around Cristion and Lucien, two boys, aged 12 and 15, respectively, who basically go on an adventure in the mystical universe of Zevida, which is sort of like Arcadia, but with more diverse and fantasaic landscapes.
I still need to discuss basic plot with LuckE.

I know, I know, but that's since we don't know much of what the plot is so far.
As far as we've gotten, Cristion and Lucien are basically backpacking through the many regions of Zevida, that include a giant tree that leads to a floating M.C. Escher-style mansion, an underground city, a city deep underwater, etc....

You could help with the plot too, I guess.
You can even make a character of your own!

OK! Well, since I just recently thought of the greatest plot i have ever thought up for my series, I can finally get around to posting the Prologue!

I'm only posting the Prologue since the Prologue is quite important.
It basically sets the plot, setting and characters of the series....

Here goes!


PROLOGUE:

In his shining castle of solitude, the Mirror King sat in his throne, speaking to his subjects. People think that he is a cruel and merciless tyrant, but he is not . . . quite. He is a kind man who does everything he can for his people, but he does get mad at times.
"We believe that the safety of this realm is in jeopardy," Roland, the Mirror King's second-in-command stated slowly. Roland knew that things were not right, and he had proof. He was sent to check up on the Royal Guard of the Border Key, a mystical artifact that keeps the boundaries of the Mirror World, and Zevida, the other main dimension in the world, in-tact. If one were to take this key, it would be devastating. If it even as much as touched a mirror, everything would be left to ruin. The mirrors would become unstable, pulling in all life around it. No-one would survive. And what had Roland seen when he looked into the clear room? Nothing. And that was the point. The key was gone, and this would be the end of it all.
"WHAT?" The Mirror King roared, his deep voice refracting off the mirrored walls of his castle. Roland shifted in his boots.
"Well . . . the key is gone!". He blurted. He knew he would be executed on the spot, even if it was unjust. The Mirror King had a reputation of being mean and cruel, and he often killed the messenger of bad news.
"That can't happen, we've kept it under lock and key, put our best guard in front of the door!". The Mirror King was utterly shocked, and every man who liked having their life stepped back several paces.
"Well, maybe the theft didn't go through the door," Roland answered bitterly. When he had looked through the door, the closest mirror-wall to the key looked different, in that the surface was rippling like a lake, or a pool. He had taken a wild guess and guessed that some-one in Zevida had used the counterpart of the Mirror Key that resides in Zevida to steal it.

He was true in one aspect. There was a man in Zevida named Samen that had indeed stumbled upon the Zevida Key, and it had instantly flown to a large and grand mirror that lay behind it. Before he knew it, Samen was falling through the mirror itself, and soon he fell out into a large black space, filled with nothing. In his hands were two keys that were completely identical. That one man's action had sealed the fate of the world.


CHAPTER ONE! (Thought i might also post this):

In the modern day, thousands of years later, in Zevida, the government has banned anything with a reflective surface, simply because ever since that fateful day, if any-one as much as looks into a mirror will get pulled inside, and die.
Anything that has the slight chance of reflecting light has been stolen. This includes mirrors, windows, glasses, cups, and other things like that. The government is trying to block the waterways as well, since there have been several incidents in which people have been pulled in. But in the eyes of Cristion and Lucien, two brothers, aged 12 and 15, this was a set-up.
They always knew that the government of Zevida was not to be trusted. Every-one knew that only glass activated the effect, but no-one was willing to speak up.
"This is bad, very bad, Cristion," Lucien called up the stairs from the main living room. Cristion, the younger of the two brothers, was up in his room, reading, like he always did. Cristion had a very near full library in his room. His shelves were brimming with large and fading books, even the space under his bed was full. His life was devoted to reading, which was much different to his brother, Lucien, who never cared for such things, and instead worked on becoming a survivalist, who could survive in some of the beautiful yet hostile environments that Zevida is known for.
Impatiently, Crisiton dashed downstairs and looked at the newspaper story that his brother was reading. It was explaining the governments new proposal to block the waterways leading into the main cities of Zevida, including Alabast, the city that Cristion and Lucien lived in.
"This is far too much, Cristion," Lucien said sternly. He had that special gleam in his eye that was a mixture of anger, glee and some other things Cristion wasn't too sure about. "We need to stop them from doing this. If they do, we'll all die! They should know that only glass is dangerous. Water is perfectly safe. These incidents were staged, I know it!".
"Yes, I know, but what can we do? We're only simple peasants," Cristion whined. He was known for being an utter and complete whiner, but his brother had the patience for him.
"Well, I'm an expert survivalist, and I taught you everything I know. We can easily make it all the way past the Realms of Life and get to the High Council building! Let's do it!" Lucien cried. Nothing was going to change him, and Cristion had to agree. Being orphans, and only being raised by themselves, building the special connection between the brothers, and by an old man who couldn't care for them any less. Heck, he'd be overjoyed if they left. So, Cristion slowly made his way to his room and backed his essentials into his bag of choice; A large messenger bag that had been passed on by his mother. It seemed to always be as light as always, no matter what he put into it, so he thought it would be quite efficient.
He quietly made his way down the stairs and to the front door, where Lucien was waiting.
"Let's go!" He said excitedly, and with that, the two left the house, and onto the marvellous adventure that would take place.



P.S: I might not stick to the MAIN main plot of the books, since I don't want to spoil the ending.

Also, just as a little update, I will be accepting a few characters from people on this forum ^_^
Sadly not all of them may make it into the main group, but they'll be important.

And actually, i might not make a fan-fic, I might just plan it in this thread, since me and luckE have decided to stick to my plot.

Yet,I have ideas. I really want to use that map and I'm not too sure if I want to use it for SR,so lets use it for this.
